Fisheries Minister Sayedul Hoque’s 2nd namaz-e-janaza held

The second namaz-e-janaza of Fisheries and Livestock Minister Muhammed Sayedul Hoque was held at Ashutosh Pilot High School ground in Nasirnagar upazila at 1:00 pm.

Law Minister Anisul Huq, Awami League presidium member Abdul Matin Khasru and other local senior AL leaders placed floral wreaths on the coffin of Sayedul Hoque.

The body of Sayedul Hoque was taken to Nasirnagar upazila of the district around 12:30 pm by a helicopter.
Now, his body is being taken to his ancestral home at Purbobhagh village where he will be buried at his family graveyard following another namaz-e-janaza after Zohr prayers.

Earlier, the first namaz-e-janaza of the minister was held at the South Plaza of Jatiya Sangsad at 10:10 am on Sunday.

A guard of honour was given to the late minister here.

President Md Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, Deputy Speaker Md Fazley Rabbi Mia, placed wreaths on the coffin of Sayedul Hoque.

Later, the President, deputy speaker, ministers, lawmakers, senior leaders of Awami League and other political parties, well-wishers, officials and employees of the JS attended his namaz-e-janaza, reports UNB.

Sayedul Hoque, also a Liberation War organiser and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's political aide, breathed his last at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Saturday.

Sayedul was made the fisheries and livestock minister after Awami League formed the government in 2014.
