As many as 13 Fire Service and Civil Defence units have tamed a fire at a warehouse of plastic goods at Alirghat in Dhaka’s Lalbagh after battling it for around two hours.
The units started for the area around 11:30 pm on Thursday after the warehouse caught fire, Mahfuz Riben, an official at the fire service control room, told media.
He later said the fire was brought under control around 1:15 am on Friday, bdnews24 reports.
No casualties have been reported and the authorities could not immediately assess the extent of damage or the origin of the fire.
