A fire broke out at a 16-storey residential building adjacent to Lakecity in Khilkhet area in the capital, said a fire official on Sunday.
The incident took place on the fifth floor of the building named 'Korbi' at around 12:25pm on Sunday, Rasel Miah, a duty officer at the fire service headquarters told The Financial Express.
Three units are working to bring the blaze under control, he said.
The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be known immediately, Rasel added.
