A fire broke out at the ground floor of the Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital in the city on Thursday.
Duty officer of Fire Service Control room, Rashed Shikder said, the fire originated from electric short circuit, broke at the store room of the hospital around 1:00 pm and spread soon.
Acting on a tip-off, five firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze around 1:15 pm.
The damage caused by the fire could not be known immediately, reports UNB.
