A fire broke out at the Detective Branch (DB) office of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) headquarters in Laldighi Par area in the city on Monday morning.
Sarwar Jahan, operator of Agrabad fire service, said that the fire broke out on the first floor of the DB office around 11:15am from an electric short circuit, reports UNB.
On information, a total 13 vehicles of three fire-fighting units rushed in and put out the fire at about 11:55am, said Abdur Rahim, officer-in-charge of DB.
No casualties have been reported thus far, says a bdnews24 report.
