A fire broke out inside a warehouse at Ananda TV building in the capital’s Banani Chairman Bari area, fire department officials said on Saturday.
Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence media official M Rayhan told The Financial Express that the fire originated on the third floor of the six-storey building around 9:10 am.
A total of 11 firefighting units rushed to the spot to douse the fire, he said. No casualties were reported.
The extend of the damage is yet to be ascertained and the reason of the blaze could not be known immediately.
