The minimum age for recognition as freedom fighters (FFs) for those who took part in Liberation War in 1971 has been set at 12 years and six months.
The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday afternoon.
UNB said the circular read the minimum age for one to be recognised as a FF must be 12 years and six months till the date of November 30 of 1971.
Earlier on June 19 last year, the ministry had issued a circular declaring 13 years as minimum age for FF recognition.
