Water transports including ferry services on Paturia-Daulatdia route in the Padma River in Rajbari and Manikganj was disrupted due to dense fog on early Wednesday.
Shafikul Islam, manager of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation's (BIWTC) in Daulatdia Ghat office, said, ferry service was suspended from 7:00am due to poor visibility caused by dense fog, according to a news agency report.
Eight ferries lied motionless in the middle of the river while many others are stuck in the both ghat, Shafikul added.
