Journalist Jasim Uddin Haroon of The Financial Express has won the PIB-a2i Media Award 2021.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Hasan Mahmud handed him over crest, certificate and Tk 75,000 cheque at a programme held at at The Press Institute of Bangladesh in the capital on Sunday.
State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Polok and State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan attended the programme as special guests.
Secretary to the State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Md Mokbul Hossain and a2i Project Director Dr Md Abdul Mannan also joined the programme.
PIB Director General Jafar Wazed presided over the function.
A total of seven journalists won the PIB-a2i Media Award 2021.
Jasim Uddin Haroon won the award for his report on e-nothi published in The Financial Express on March 14, 2020.
