Four people were killed and 32 others injured in a road accident at Fakirhat upazila of Bagerhat district on Tuesday.
The victims were identified as – truck driver Kamrul Islam, 35, Bipin Poddar, 55, of Mollarhat and Mahmudul Islam, 13, of Khulna. The identity of the other deceased could not be known immediately.
Md Shahadad Hossain, additional police super (ASP) of Bagerhat said the accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus from Khulna collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction in Kolomer Dokan area during noon, reports BSS.
Three people died on the spot while another died on way to hospital.
The injured were admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital for treatment.
