The first death anniversary of Nasirul Haque Chowdhury, a reputed banker and senior lawyer of the Bangladesh Supreme Court, will be observed on Tuesday (July 13, 2021).
Family members, relatives, and friends pay tribute to Nasirul, a caring person who, they say, set an example for others around him.
Having graduated from BM College, Barisal, and obtaining a higher degree in law in Dhaka, Nasirul joined Rupali Bank (formerly East Pakistan Muslim Commercial Bank) as a law officer.
After his retirement as Rupali Bank’s general manager, he joined United Commercial Bank Limited (UCBL) and played an important role in the formulation of its legal and policy documents. He retired as deputy managing director of UCBL in 2013.
He was born in the famous zamindar family of Ulania, Barisal, in 1934.
In view of the ongoing pandemic, his wife Nasima Haque Chowdhury, daughters Asadia Haque Chowdhury and Sadia Haque Chowdhury, and two grandchildren – Ashik Uddin Chowdhury and Ahsan Karim – have requested all to pray from distance for the salvation of the departed soul of Nasirul.
