Acting JP Chairman GM Quader on Sunday said that the condition of ailing Leader of the Opposition in Parliament and Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad has improved slightly.
“His health condition is better than yesterday, however, he is still not out of danger,” GM Quader told a press briefing at the party’s Banani office in Dhaka, reports BSS.
Ershad has been put on artificial ventilation and dialysis is being conducted to remove the excess water and toxins from his body, he added.
The acting JP Chairman said the doctors are hopeful about Ershad’s full recovery, and they are trying their best to provide him with necessary medications.
A milad mahfil was organised by National Olama Party at 11am on Sunday at the Jatiya Party Chairman’s Banani office seeking blessings for his early recovery.
Ershad was admitted to CMH with old-age complications on June 26.
He has been suffering from serious ailments for the last nine months.
