Each hajj pilgrim can carry up to US$ 1,000 or equivalent currencies while performing the next pilgrimage.
This amount is completely out of the overall expenses estimated by the ministry concerned for performing the next hajj, according to the circular issued Thursday by the central bank, reports BSS.
The hajj may take place on August 10 depending on the sighting of the Arabic month moon.
A total of 1, 27,198 Bangladeshi will go Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj this year including 7,198 under government management.
