Dhaka University Central Students Union vice-president candidate Nurul Huq Nur has allegedly been assaulted by some activists of the Bangladesh Chhatra League at Ruqayyah Hall on Monday.
He is the quota reformist panel leader.
According to witnesses, some female BCL activists attacked and beat Nur as he protested against alleged irregularities in the election there.
Nur was rushed to a hospital in a media vehicle, they said.
Asked, Proctor Golam Rabbani said, “You would rather ask him why he went to the girls’ hall. A vested quarter is trying to ruin the environment of the campus by causing such incidents.”
