The customs intelligence officials have arrested a passenger with 96 gold bars from Shah Amanat International Airport of the port city.
"The gold bars were detected in the luggage of one Deedarul Alam during the scanning around 11:30am," said Kazi Khairul Kabir, manger (acting) of the airport.
Alam came from Dubai on Tuesday morning, according to a news agency report.
On Monday, customs intelligence recovered 200 gold bars, weighing 23kg, from the lavatory of an aircraft.
