DNCC removes 50 illegal structures in eviction drive

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) in an eviction drive on Tuesday reclaimed 10,000 square feet of space removing around 50 illegal structures in the city's Mirpur-2 and Rupnagar areas.

DNCC Executive Magistrate Sajid Anwar led the eviction drive that continued for over two hours from 12 pm, reports UNB.

Besides, the executive magistrate fined Tk 25,000 each to GLG Estate Ltd, AR Land Mark, Doulat Properties Ltd, and owner of Plot-14 at Road-2 under Block-B in Mirpur Section-2 for obstructing public movement keeping construction materials on the roads.

He also gave a 48-hour deadline to remove the construction materials from the streets.

Medicas Hospital of Rupnagar was also fined Tk 25,000 for constructing shed illegally and it was also given a 48-hour time to remove it.
