Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) in a mobile court drive on Thursday evicted some 200 illegal establishments and removed over 1000 banners, festoons, signboards and billboards from Farmgate area of the capital.
During the drive conducted by DNCC area-5 regional officer and executive magistrate SM Ajior Rahman from 11am to 2pm, 11 individuals and organisations were also fined Tk 144,000 under the City Corporation Act, 2009 and Graffiti Writing and Poster Sticking Control Act, 2012, said a press release.
UNB says the mobile court fined Ashik Sanitary and New Bath Pressure Tk 30,000 each, Oppo Media showroom in Green Road Tk 20,000 while others Tk 5,000 to Tk 14,000.
