A mobile court of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) conducted drives at city’s Mohakhali area on Monday aiming to curb dengue mosquito breeding grounds in the capital.
The court also fined Tk 200,000 to Partex Group as the DNCC found unclean surrounding behind its headquarters.
The mobile court led by Executive Magistrate of DNCC Mohammad Sajid Anowar conducted the drives with the presence of the DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam.
A resident near the office of the Partex Group said the officials of the group did not allow mosquito repellent workers in the area.
The drives were conducted as per Local Government (City Corporation) Act, 2009.
Such drive of the DNCC will continue in the coming days to curb dengue outbreak, according to a statement.
