DNCC conducts anti-mosquito drives at 34 more hospitals on Monday

The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) continued its anti-mosquito drives at 34 more hospitals in its area on Monday for the third consecutive day of the mosquito eradication programme.

Earlier on Saturday, the DNCC kicked off the week-long special programme to protect the patients, doctors, nurses and other paramedics in the Covid and non-Covid hospitals in the area from being infected with dengue.

The city corporation runs the programme from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm every day.

This special mosquito eradication programme has been conducted at a total of 92 hospitals in the last three days from Saturday to Monday.

Larvicide (pesticide for mosquito larvae) and adulticide (pesticide for adult mosquitos) are being sprayed every day from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

The DNCC has already carried out the special cleaning operations in and around the hospital premises.

Mosquito eradication activities will continue in the hospitals within its jurisdiction in the coming days as well.

Apart from this, regular mosquito eradication activities are continuing in other areas of the DNCC.
