Around 3000 cleaners of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Sunday worked one hour more to show respect to departed Mayor Annisul Haque.
Generally, the city corporation cleaners' work from 5.50am to 11am daily, but they worked till 12pm on Sunday for showing respect to the Mayor, who died on November 30 in London.
The officers and employees of DNCC have also been observing a three-day mourning, says a BSS report.
Besides, the DNCC announced half-day holiday on Sunday as a mark of respect to the Mayor.
