Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Monday filed 6,510 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realised around Tk 3.4 million as fine for the violations, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 1,301 were lodged for wrong side driving, 118 for using hydraulic horns, 11 for using hooters and beckon lights and 24 others for installing tinted glasses, reports BSS.
Police also filed 2,855 cases against motorcycles and seized 128 others for flouting traffic rules.
The traffic police has dumped 31 vehicles and wrecked 829 others.
