Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 6,165 cases and fined Tk 28,71000 on Tuesday for flouting traffic rules in the capital on Tuesday.
Thirty vehicles were also sent for dumping during the drive.
Among the cases, 1119 were lodged for driving on wrong side, 109 for using hydraulic horns, and 19 for using tinted glass.
Besides, cases were filed against 3,560 motorcycles for violation of traffic rules while 151 bikes were seized during the drive, said DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Masudur Rahman, reports UNB.
He said 26 cases were also files against drivers for using mobile phones while driving.
