Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Wednesday, in their simultaneous drives on the city streets of Dhaka filed 4,567 cases against different modes of vehicles over traffic rule violation.
It also accumulated around Tk 3.433 million as fine for the violations, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 444 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 79 for using hydraulic horn, eight for using hotter and beckon light and 31 others for using tinted glass, reports BSS.
The department filed 1488 cases against motorcycles and seized 96 others for violation of the traffic rules.
In addition, traffic police has dumped 43 vehicles and wrecked 761 others.
