Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Tuesday filed 4,151 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation on the city streets of Dhaka as part of its regular drives.
The DMP also realised over Tk 3.170 million as fine money for the violations, according to DMP data.
Of the total cases, 341 cases were filed for driving on wrong sides, 92 for using hydraulic horn, 10 for using hotter and beckon light and 21 others for using tinted glass.
The department lodged 1,384 cases against motorcycles and seized 88 others for the violations.
In addition, the division reportedly dumped 42 vehicles and wrecked 818 others.
