Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday filed 3,626 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation.
It also realised over Taka 2.17 million as fine for traffic rule violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 265 cases were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 70 for using hydraulic horn, seven for using hotter and beckon light and 11 others for using tinted glass.
Police filed 1,161 cases against motorcycles and seized 68 others for violation of the traffic rules.
Traffic police has dumped 14 vehicles and wrecked 674 others.
