Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in a daylong drive on Wednesday filed 3,315 cases on charges of traffic rule violation.
Traffic division in their simultaneous drives on the city streets also realised over Tk 2.1 million (Tk 21.53 lakh) as fine, according to an official release.
As many as 325 cases were lodged for driving on the wrong sides, 59 other cases for using hydraulic horn, sixe for using hotter and beckon light and 18 others for using tinted glass, reports BSS.
Some 58 cases, including 29 video cases, were lodged against drivers of different modes of vehicles on charges of talking over mobile phone while they were driving.
It also dumped 42 vehicles and wrecked 631 others. Besides, 55 cases were lodged against motorcycles and 279 others were seized for the traffic rule violations.
