Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Monday filed 2,644 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rule violation on the city streets as part of its regular drives.
It also realised Tk 2.691 million as fine for traffic rules violation, said an official release.
Of the total cases, 237 cases were filed for driving on wrong sides, 61 for using hydraulic horn, four for using hotter and beckon light and 14 others for using tinted glass.
They lodged 803 cases against motorcycles and seized 64 others for violating of the traffic rules.
Apart from this, police has dumped 24 vehicles and wrecked 452 others.
