Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has extended the ongoing traffic week by three days.
According to the latest announcement, the traffic week will continue till August 14, 2018.
DMP commissioner Assaduzzaman Mia informed the media about this extension at the DMP media centre on Saturday.
He said the traffic wing of the city police authority received great public response in bringing discipline in the city's traffic system.
Urging the commuters to cooperate with the traffic officials about this, Asaduzzaman said they will strictly implement the traffic rules and regulations during the traffic week.
In the wake of recent protests by students over road safety, the DMP launched the traffic week on August 5 and it was supposed to be concluded this day, August 11, 2018.
