Department of Livestock Services (DLS) has provided medical services for 81,168 cattle and 4,13,634 poultry birds through 249 veterinary medical teams in flood-affected areas across the country, according to a statement of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock.
Over 1.219 million cattle and about 5.0 million poultry birds have been relocated to higher ground in the flood affected areas until July 29, the statement points out.
Apart from this, 1,713 metric tons of cow-feed have been distributed among the flood-affected people, it adds.
