Diplomats visit Rohingya camps

Representatives from all foreign missions in Bangladesh visited Cox's Bazar and Bandarban on Wednesday to observe the Rohingya refugee situation stemming from ethnic cleansing in Myanmar. — Focus Bangla

COX'S BAZAR, Sept 13 (Agencies): A group of diplomats, stationed in Dhaka, visited on Wednesday the Rohingyas who have taken shelter in Bangladesh.
Sixty-three representatives, including ambassadors and high commissioners of 30 countries, visited the Rohingya camps in Kutupalong and Balukhali, and talked to the Rohingya people.
They also went to Bangladesh-Myanmar border at Ghumdhum in Bandarban district to see the border situation.
Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, State Minister for Foreign Affairs M Shahriar Alam, Foreign Secretary M Shahidul Haque and foreign ministry senior officials accompanied them.
