Islamic History professor Md Akhtaruzzaman was appointed as the vice-chancellor of Dhaka University on a temporary basis.
The move aims to help the public university function smoothly after the tenure of acting vice-chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique ended last month, the government said in a notice on Monday, reports bdnews24.com.
