Dhaka will experience heavy rains under the influence of cyclone Fani on Saturday as well, the Meteorological Department chief has said. The city skies have been overcast with clouds since morning.
"Like yesterday, there will be rains in Dhaka today. But it will intensify after noon," said Shamsuddin Ahmed, director of the Meteorological Department.
"Cyclone Fani move over mid regions of the country, including Jashore, Khulna, Satkhira, Jhenaidah, and Kushtia, and then in the very direction of Meghalaya in India."
The temperature for Dhaka has been forecast to come down by 3.0 degree Celsius.
The Meteorological Department has recorded 60 millimeter rains in the city in 24 hours from 6:00am on Friday to 6:00am on Saturday.
