Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said detectives are working to trace those who have gone missing, including NSU teacher Dr Mubashar Hasan and journalist Utpal Das.

The Minister made the remark while talking to reporters after attending the 4th founding anniversary of the River Police at Mirpur PSC Convention Hall in the city.

“The detectives are working to know why people are being disappeared and who are involved in these incidents,” Khan added.

He also urged everybody to keep patience mentioning that most of the people who had gone missing earlier returned to their family safely.

When asked about the BNP rally at the Suhrawardy Udyan, the Home Minister said law enforcers have been kept alert so that nobody can create any disorder there and carry out subversive activities.

The recent missing incidents of Dr Mubashar Hasan, an assistant professor of School of Humanities and Social Sciences of privately-run North South University, and Utpal Das, senior reporter of online news portal purbopaschimbd.com, has sparked off a countrywide outcry.UNB
