One more dengue patient died while a total of 67 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.
An official at the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) told the FE that one new dengue patient died at Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital in the capital during the period.
However, the official could not give further details on the dead patient.
Among the new patients, four new cases were reported from outside the Dhaka division, according to the DGHS.
A total of 261 patients are receiving treatments at 47 public and private hospitals in the capital till Saturday morning while the remaining 58 are being treated outside Dhaka.
Some 2,081 patients have been admitted to different hospitals in the country with dengue from January 1, 2022, to July 23, 2022, the report said.
As many as 1,756 such patients were released from the hospitals across the country from January 1, 2022, to July 23, 2022, it added.
A total of six dengue patients died from January 1, 2022, to July 23, 2022, DGHS data added.
