Customs intelligence and investigation directorate (CIID) officials seized an abandoned posh car from Gulshan area in the capital on Thursday morning.
A team of CIID conducted a drive on road no-112 in Gulshan around 11:30am and found a Toyata Land Cruiser V8 without number plate, said Dr Md Shahidul Islam, DG of CIID.
The team also found a note in the vehicle, according to UNB.
The note said, "I am willingly leaving the car on the road. But, I'm not the car's importer. My sincere request to the Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation is to bring the importers under law. I am always respectful to the laws of the country and appreciate the activities CIID and I am requesting them for continuing such drive."
The price of the vehicle including tax is around 50 million.
