Customs intelligence officials arrested two persons with foreign currencies on Wednesday midnight at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
The arrested persons, Raihan Kaiser and Md Hasan Pinku, were going to Singapore by Singapore Airlines.
Raihan Kaiser went to Singapore 33 times last year and four times during January and February 2018.
Customs officials challenged them and found US and Singaporean dollars worth over Tk 22.50 million from their possession.
They claimed that they were carrying the currencies for purchasing computer and accessories.
Customs sources said, they carried foreign currencies without declaration.
Cases were filed with the concerned police station in this regard.
