Two held with 20,000 yaba tablets in Chattogram

Detectives in a drive arrested two young men along with 20,000 Yaba tablets from Bridgeghat Firingibazar area of Chattogram city on Wednesday night.

The arrestees were identified as Abdur Rahim Swapon, 30, son of late Majol Houqe, hailing from Feni and Sohel, 32, son of Fazlul Haque, hailing from Narayanganj.

Mohammal Shahidullah, deputy police commissioner of DB (port) of Chattogram Metropolitan Police, was quoted by UNB news agency as saying that a team of Detective Branch of police conducted the drive beside BIWTA office in the area under Kotwali Police Station at around 11:45 pm and seized a mini truck with the Yaba tablets.

Later, they arrested Swapon and Fazlul in connection with recovery.
