RAB nabs ‘arms trader’ in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested an alleged arms trader from Balukhalichhara area in Ukhia upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday night.

The arrestee was identified as Md Abu Bakkar Siddque (32), son of late Amin Ullah, hailing from Kutupalong in the upazila.

Based on secret information, an elite force team, led by Major Md Ruhul Amin, conducted a drive in the area around 11:45pm and arrested Bakkar along with a pistol, two bullets and 12 magazines, reports UNB citing a RAB press release. 

The arrestee confessed to his involvement in trading arms for long, RAB claimed.
