RAB detains ‘drug traders’ with 0.27m Yaba pills in city

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested six suspected drug traders along with 0.27 million (2.7 lakh) pieces of Yaba tablets from the city's Elephant road area.

The drive was conducted from Wednesday till Thursday morning, said Senior ASP Mizanur Rahman (media) of RAB headquarters.

One of the arrestees was identified as Jahir Ahmed, a listed drug trader of Teknaf while the identities of the others could not be known yet, reports UNB.

The elite force members also recovered Tk 16, 64, 100 in cash, believed to be earned after selling Yaba, from their possession.
