Police recover suspected criminal’s body in Jashore

Police recovered the bullet-riddled body of a robber from Shahapur village in Manirampur upazila of Jashore on Wednesday morning.

The dead man was identified as Nazrul Islam Nazu, 30, son of Hossain of the village.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the bullet-riddled body from the spot at around 11:30am and sent it to Jessore General Hospital for autopsy, said Saidul Islam, officer-in-charge of Manirampur Police Station.

It is assumed that Nazmul was shot dead when he was caught up in an exchange of fire between two robber gangs at Jamtola area in the same village, reports UNB citing the OC.

Law enforcers also recovered a local made pipe gun and a sharp weapon from the spot.
