An unidentified young girl was found dead in Jhenaidah on Thursday.
Local people spotted the body at a field in Nirisinghapur village in sadar upazila and informed police, said Emdadul Haque Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.
Police after arriving at the scene, recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for autopsy, UNB reported.
The lawmen suspect that miscreants might have killed her in another place and dumped the body in the village.
