Police recover bullet-riddled body in Cox’s Bazar

Police recovered the bullet-riddled body of a suspected drug pedlar in Cox’s Bazar in the early hours of Friday.

The victim was identified as Belal, 35, a criminal listed by the Home Ministry and son of Nur Mohammad.

Hearing sounds of gunshots in Borodhail area at around 1:00 am, a team of police went to the spot and recovered the body of Belal near Marine Drive Road in Teknaf upazila, said Pradeep Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.

Police suspected that Belal might have killed in a 'gunfight' between two gangs of criminals, UNB reported.

Belal was wanted in four several cases including that of drugs.
