A teacher of a local madrasa was found dead at Deupur village in Kalihati upazila under Tangail region on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Anisur Rahman, 55, an assistant teacher of Gohaliabari Fazil Madrasah, reports UNB.
Local people found the body of Anisur with his hands and legs tied up, near a pond and informed police around 7 pm, said Mosharraf Hossain, officer-in-charge of Kalihati Police Station.
Police recovered the body and sent it to local hospital for autopsy.
