Police recovered the hanging body of a student from a madrasa at Ranibazar in Rajshahi city on Wednesday.
The dead student was identified as Talha Zubayer, 12, son of Afsar Ali of Bagha upazila.
According to Sirajul Islam, director of Ranibazar Hafezia Madrasa, Talha took admission in the institute in June last. Upon noticing that Talha remained absent in the Magrib prayers, the authorities went to his room and found the body hanging from the ceiling.
On information, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for an autopsy, reports UNB.
Nityan Das, officer-in-charge of Boalia Police Station, said the cause of the death was not immediately known.
