Police arrested two drivers and their two helpers along with 2,200 pieces of Yaba tablets from their buses in Sonadanga bus terminal of Khulna district on Monday night.
The arrestees were identified as the bus drivers Raihan and Riad and their helpers Jiyad and Jahid, a news agency reported.
Based on secret information, a team of police raided in the two buses of ‘Mridul Tours’ paribahan in the terminal around 9pm which came from Cox’s Bazar carrying a group of students of Khulna University of Engineering and Technology after their study tour, and recovered the Yaba pills, said Mamtazul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sonadanga Police station.
Later, police arrested four of them in connection with the contraband recovery.
