Police in special drives arrested 74 people, who are accused in different cases, from eight upazilas of Satkhira district from Monday evening to Tuesday morning.
Of them, 14 were arrested from Sadar upazila, 12 from Kolaroa upazila while the others from Kaliganj, Ahsashuni, Patkelghata, Debhata, Shamnagar and Tala upazilas, UNB reports quoting Special Branch Inspector Azam Khan of Satkhira police.
Law enforcers have filed five cases against the arrestees.
