Police in a drive detained a leader of Jamaat-e-Islami from Mahishbathan area in Rajshahi district on early Monday.
Kamruzaman Sohel is a secretary of Rajpara unit Jamaat and son of Belal Hossian of the area, said Hafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Rajpara Police Station.
On secret information, police launched a drive in Mahishbathan area in the early hours of the day and arrested the Jamaat leader, accused in 14 cases including sabotage.
The arrestee will be produced before a court in the afternoon, the police official added, reports UNB.
