Customs officials seized seven kilograms of gold worth about Tk 35 million (3.5 crore) from a flight of Singapore Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Sunday.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of customs intelligence launched a drive on the flight ‘SQ446’ coming from Singapore landed at the airport at midnight, said Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) director general Moinul Khan.
The gold was detected after scanning a consignment of clothes, reports UNB.
