Cox’s Bazar police recover bullet-riddled body

Police on Thursday have recovered the bullet-riddled body of a young man from a beach of the Bay of Bengal in Teknaf upazila.

The victim was identified as Mohammad Hanif, 28, son of late Siddique Ahmed of Sabrang union.

According to Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station, local people spotted the body at Baharchharar Noakhalipara beach in the morning and informed police.

A team of police, led by in-charge of Baharchhara police investigation camp Anwar Hossain, then recovered the body, UNB reported.

Victim's family sources said Hanif had been missing for the last eight days.
