Police recovered the bullet-riddled body of a suspected drug trader in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Wednesday morning.
The trader was identified as Ali Hossian alias Shonamia, 38, from Kwaikhong of the upazila.
“We were reported that a group of drug pedlars have gathered in the area, lawmen found the body upon arrival at around 7:00 am,” said Pradip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Teknaf Police Station.
Policemen suspect that the trader was murdered over an internal feud, UNB reported.
The body was later sent to the Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
